Update

I'm surviving. I think.

Actually, I'm doing okay. I'm back to the daily grind of work. Only took a couple of weeks off. I know what you're thinking "she's crazy for not taking more time off" but it was either that or go to prison for killing my roommate. I think the only reason this situation works is because when I get home at night she disappears into her room. And don't get me started on her room. Why can't I ever get a normal roommate? You know, one that actually cleans up after herself? You know, one that . . . maybe might actually wear more than her nightgown all day and take a shower more than once a week? Hell, even when I was home recovering from my surgery I still got dressed everyday and took a shower or at least made myself look presentable. Even if I never moved from the couch. But now I'm getting into a whole other "War and Peace" rant that I don't have time for. Trust me these three crazies have seen the evidence and know exactly what I'm talkin about.

So I've survived and hopefully will start skating again next month. With nothing really to do the past month, I've had time to think about things, where my life is going and decided to reprioritize a few things in it. In doing so, however, I have cancelled all my upcoming trips. So no Milwaukee and no Beijing. I can't quite put my finger on it but neither trip feels right. I've been pushing a lot of stuff into the background and blowing a lot of people off and I just need to sit down and deal with everything. After my surgery I truly realized who my friends were and I need to make amends with those who are feeling slighted and one who probably feels that I've forgotten all about him. So even though it's a huge longshot that he's actually reading this, if he is, please know that I haven't forgotten about you and you're still a priority.

I do know though, that the second thing on my list is a new computer. Mine has bitten the dust and just can't be patched and/or fixed anymore. Good thing I have a savings.

I'm also not sure if I'm going to keep this particular blog. I'm just not happy with it. I don't like the way it looks and I really don't like that I can't post pictures using html anymore. I mean, that was one of the main reasons for having the blog in the first place. Okay that and teaching myself html which now, doesn't seem to want to work anymore. All I know is this "Hello" picture software crap is for the birds. If anyone has any suggestions then please send them my way.

Anyway, that's it for now.
